Uptight! is going back to basics at The Royal Standard with a few new guest DJs...and additions to the music repetoir
After a few months break the Uptight! Collaboration is returning to the Mill Road pub, (with the best beer garden) on a regular basis to bring you some sizzling 60s soul, dirty disco, filthy funk, and the addition of classic cuts and retro rhythms (old skool tunes and hip hop)
All this from residents Funky Pete & MissChivers, and guests appearing will consist of Uncle Dunc (Uncle Funk fame), Tom Hallmark, DJ Lee Scott, Dom Smith, The Fish (The Priory), BLIRK (playing some phat old skool Hip Hop with the best funk loops), TheRealNickyButt, and JXN (Beatwax).
Along side the pure funky atmosphere will be a garden BBQ (on a couple of the dates, see below) and some other surprises along the way...there are 4 dates over the Summer months

Every Uptight! DJ and band will feature at some point in some way in the evening to help us celebrate our 1st birthday! This will also be your last chance to get tickets for the Uptight! Live gig at ARU on 2nd September. If you bring your ticket to this gig along to the Royal Standard you will get a FREE BEER!
